Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
1. Overview
This policy explains what data RunDollar collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. The short version: we collect only what we need to run your accountability contracts, we never sell your data, and your card details are handled entirely by Stripe.
2. Data we collect
- Strava account data. With your permission, we access your Strava athlete profile (name, athlete ID, profile photo) and read your GPS-tracked run activities — specifically the distance, activity type, and start time needed to verify your goal.
- Contract data. The goals, timeframes, and outcomes you create within RunDollar.
- Account data. Your email address and display preferences (such as units and timezone).
- Payment data. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe. We only retain a Stripe customer identifier and a payment-method token — never your full card number.
3. How we use your data
- To track your runs and determine whether you reach your contract goal.
- To charge the accountability fee via Stripe only when a contract fails.
- To send transactional emails about your contract outcome (success or failure) and account security.
- To display your progress, history, and the charity associated with your contract.
4. Strava data and the Strava API Agreement
We access Strava data through the official Strava API and in accordance with Strava's API Agreement. We read only the run data required to verify your own goals. We do not sell, resell, share, license, or otherwise commercialize your Strava data, and we do not expose it to any third party. RunDollar is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Strava. You can revoke RunDollar's access at any time from your Strava account settings; note that revoking access does not cancel an active contract.
5. Payment data and Stripe
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-compliant payment provider. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure form and are stored by Stripe, not by RunDollar. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
6. Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers required to operate RunDollar — for example, Stripe for payments, Strava for activity data, and our transactional email provider. We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising. We may disclose data where required by law.
7. Data retention
We retain your account and contract data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, accounting, and reporting obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for Strava access. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@rundollar.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "last updated" date above.
